Asking better questions workshop for Aged Care Facility Nurses

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites local Residential Aged Care Facility nurses to a workshop on learning the Better Questions communication technique.  This workshop will enhance your communication skills and is information packed and interactive, and covers:

  • Recognise habitual patterns of response in our conversations
  • Understand the impact of asking vs telling and the principles of asking Better Questions
  • Using Better Questions in practical scenarios
  • Understand the psychology to resistance to questioning and how to better manage it
  • Listening tips and traps – practical ideas to dramatically improve your listening
  • Improve your ability to ask Better Questions
  • Introduction to the powerful BETTER QUESTIONS model
  • Experiential activity to practice asking Better Questions
  • Be provided with a toolkit of questions to use in practice with patients, families, GP’s, colleagues and yourself
