You are invited to attend the upcoming North Sydney Nurses Network event on Managing fractures in general practice -Splinting and Casting.

Join us for an interactive workshop on the basics of managing Fractures in general practice.  We will be exploring how to identify a possible fracture, learn the appropriate referral pathways and how to give general care advise for patients in a cast or splints.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Local practice nurses working in the SNHN region.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Understand the different types of fractures in fingers, hands and ankles
  • Managing suspected fractures in general practice
  • Identify appropriate referral pathways
  • Do’s and Don’ts of cast care
  • Managing mobility post fracture repair
  • Practice how to splint fingers, wrists and ankles
COST:
There is no cost for Practice Nurses working within the SNHN region to attend this training
