Diabetes Education for Nurses: Full-Day Program

An education program including presentations, case studies and workshops. The aim is to introduce participants to evidenced-based management of diabetes and its complications, therefore supporting the delivery of effective diabetes care in Primary Health Care and Residential Aged Facilities.

Registration Deadline: 03/03/2025

Participants will be eligible for 7 CPD points. A CPD certificate will be issued upon completion of the program requirements.

  • Diabetes Management: Lifestyle, medication, and blood glucose monitoring
  • Hyper- & Hypoglycemia Management & Ketosis
  • Nutrition & Diabetes and Very Low Energy Diet
  • Obesity & Weight Management: Medication & Surgical Interventions
  • Chronic Kidney Disease Prevention & Management in Diabetes
  • Case Studies
  • Workshops – Glucose Monitoring: Glucose meters and continuous glucose monitoring sensors, Injectable Therapies: GLP-1 RA & insulin therapy and Foot Assessment & Self-Care.
