Utilising Primary Sense for Quality Improvement and Patient Care

Local GPs, Practice Managers, and Nurses are invited to participate in a face-to-face workshop aimed at enhancing their understanding of the full functionality and effective utilisation of the Primary Sense data extraction tool.

Developed by GPs, data experts, and researchers, Primary Sense extracts de-identified general practice data and employs evidence-based algorithms to provide real-time medication alerts, reports, and patient-care prompts to GPs. This tool ensures that patients receive the right care at the right time, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes.

SPEAKERS:

Dr Chung – General Practitioner
Dr. Chung is a GP with over 25 years of expertise in the field. She has developed a special interest in chronic diseases and aged care, and recently completed a Masters in Public Health, which has allowed her to become more engaged with population health.

Dr. Chung is also a valuable member of the Primary Sense Clinical Advisory Group, where she contributes her extensive knowledge and experience to the team.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Local General Practitioners, Practice Managers and Primary Care Nurses in the Northern Sydney Region

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Promote the features and benefits of Primary Sense in General Practices
  • Extract reports for quality improvement using Primary Sense
  • Utilise the GP Prompts/Alerts function effectively
  • Conduct clinical audits using Primary Sense for Measuring Outcomes and Reviewing Performance CPD 
COST:
There is no cost for Practices and their staff within the SNHN region to attend this training
