WEBINAR – My Health Record for Aged Care

Sydney North Health Network (SNHN)/Northern Sydney PHN invites managers and nursing staff working in residential aged care homes and primary care clinicians across NSW and ACT, to a webinar that will provide an overview of the My Health Record system, key information it contains, benefits of use and how aged care health providers, residents and their representatives can use and manage their records.

This is the first monthly webinar of a 4-part series, starting from March to June 2025. This webinar will show how you can view a resident’s My Health Record information in the secure National Provider Portal. Future webinars are planned to cover viewing in and uploading information to the My Health Record using Residential Aged Care clinical software.

This webinar is a joint collaboration between Central & Eastern Sydney, Capital Health Network ACT, Healthy North Coast (NNSW), Hunter New England & Central Coast, Nepean Blue Mountains, Northern Sydney, South Eastern NSW (Coordinaire), South Western Sydney and Western Sydney (Went West) PHNs.

  • Describe the My Health Record system, its benefits to aged care residents and what it contains
  • Outline how healthcare providers and residents can access the My Health Record
  • Describe the security and privacy measures of the My Health Record system
  • Outline how an organisation can register to use the My Health Record
  • Outline an example journey of an aged care resident and their healthcare providers using the National Provider Portal to access the residents My Health Record
