Nurse Network – The first 2000 days: Baby checks – Developmental Norms

Join us for a Nurses network event on Baby Checks- Developmental Norms. We will explore resources available to nurses to identify potential issues with development in children aged 0-5 years. We will also take a deep dive into the expected developmental milestones for each ages range and what to do if you are concerned about a child who is not reaching their milestones. We will be giving an update on the latest information about infant nutrition and starting solids and discussing some helpful tips on treating and interacting with patients in the 0-5 year age range.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

Primary Care Practice Nurses

LEARNING OUTCOMES:
  • Understand the expected developmental milestones for children aged 0-5 and referral pathways
  • Identify resources to use in practice
  • Gain answers to the common questions Nurses are asked about solids, formula and general baby care (Eyes, hearing, speech and umbilicus care)
COST:
There is no cost for Practices Nurses working within the SNHN region to attend this training
