DESCRIPTION:The Sydney North Health Network (SNHN) invites you to express your interest to undertake the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander online RACGP-accredited Cultural Safety training. \nThe Cultural Competence Foundation Course was developed by the Centre for Cultural Competence (CCCA) to enable learners to reflect on their own practices in order to support providing culturally safe services and environments. The course provides fundamental knowledge about Australia’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples\, their cultures\, and the effects of colonisation\, as well as government policies and practices. \nThe course is intended to increase knowledge\, shift attitudes\, and influence behaviour. It has a practical component focusing on individual and organisational outcomes in the workplace. \nGeneral Practices registered for the Indigenous Health (IH) PIP are required to participate in cultural awareness training within one year of registering.
