Webinar: Northern Sydney Wellbeing Collaborative

Thu 3rd April @ 7:00 pm

Sydney North Health Network invites GPs, Practice Nurses, Pharmacists and Allied Health Professionals to a webinar on the Northern Sydney Wellbeing Collaborative.

The Collaborative is an exciting opportunity for General Practitioners, health professionals, community advocates, people with lived experience, innovators from government, business, philanthropy, and university sectors to co-create, design, and deliver a primary care system that works for all.

DATE:
Thu 3rd April

TIME:
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

PROGRAM:

Why Is This Work So Important?

Australia is among the countries with the greatest health span-lifespan gap, second only to the United States (12.4 years). The average gap internationally is 9.6 years.

Although we are living longer, we are living longer with diabetes, chronic heart disease, musculoskeletal diseases, mental and substance use disorders, and neurological disorders. This is placing increasing strain on the health and social care sectors. To reduce the pressure, we know that we need to provide trauma informed,  evidence-based prevention services to people, families, and neighbourhoods.

Join us for the Wellbeing Collaborative webinar to discuss and hear about how the primary care and social sectors can create change to better connect care to community and respond to the challenges we face across the sector.

This session will include a Q&A session.
