SUMMARY:Webinar: Electronic Prescriptions - Tips for managing tokens and the Active Script List in your pharmacy
DESCRIPTION:Most pharmacies across NSW are now operating with hybrid workflows between paper and electronic prescriptions (EP) and the Active Script List (ASL). As a result\, pharmacists can find themselves addressing patient queries or trouble-shooting issues when using EP as part of their clinical workflow such as: \n– What is the best way to manage repeat tokens for patients?\n– What are my responsibilities as a pharmacist when accessing a patient’s ASL?\n– Who do I speak to if I need further assistance with EP or ASL? \nJoin a pharmacist digital health educator from the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) to learn more about best practice approaches to dispensing electronic prescriptions and ASL. The benefits of electronic prescriptions and ASL for patients and healthcare professionals\, and the different ways that electronic prescriptions can be accessed in the pharmacy setting and by patients will be discussed. There will also be a Q&A session for webinar attendees to pose questions and have them answered.

SUMMARY:Face to Face: GP Shared Antenatal Care - Genetics\, Genetic Screening and Perinatal Mental Health
DESCRIPTION:Local GPs are invited to this Shared Antenatal Care workshop where we will hear from two experts on Genetic Testing and Perinatal Mental Health. \nGenetic Testing and Screening – This workshop will cover Genetic Screening\, pre-conception and in early pregnancy\, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT) and Carrier screening including limitations.  \nPerinatal Mental Health – The perinatal period is the time from pregnancy to the first year after the baby is born. For most mothers this is an exciting and joyful time as well as a time of great change however\, research tells us that between 10-16% of women will experience anxiety or depression during their pregnancy and in the months after the baby is born. \nOur speakers will discuss resources to assist GPs in the provision of counsellng to patients when planning a pregnancy and in early pregnancy; including what SNHN has to offer to support GPs in this regard and how to access these services. \nThis training will enhance the antenatal care services that you provide for your patients.

SUMMARY:Webinar - GP Update on additional eReferrals rollout at NSLHD
DESCRIPTION:Please join this webinar to hear about the expansion of eReferrals for additional NSLHD outpatient services. \nLast August\, 25 outpatient services were launched for HealthLink Electronic Referral (eReferral) systems in Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) and we have been working closely with the Primary Health Network to engage and educate GPs on the system. About 3000 eReferrals have been received from more than 130 different GP practices. \nFeedback received from GPs and hospital staff have highlighted the following benefits: patient and referrer information are pre-populated in the forms to save time for GPs\, field validation and consistency checks are automatic features to ensure all necessary information is included\, pathology and imaging reports and notes are easily attached. In addition\, the improved clinical information enhanced the triage and management of referrals to provide the most appropriate care with more timely manner. \nOn 28 June and 26 July 2023\, 90 outpatient services across Hornsby Ku-ring-gai\, Ryde\, Mona Vale and Royal North Shore Hospitals including Aged Care\, Paediatric\, Diabetes\, Rehabilitation\, Hepatology\, Haematology\, Burns\, Clinical Genetics\, Breast\, Sexual Health and Intelligence Disability will be available for eReferrals. \nAs 97% of district GPs have compatible software like Best Practice\, Medical Director (v3.16)\, Genie and Medtech Evolution to integrate HealthLink eReferrals. This system allows GPs to receive communications back from the service on the progress of the referral through the triage process. Practices require a FREE HealthLink subscription and HealthLink smartforms activated to use ereferrals. Simply\, contact HealthLink on 1800 125 036 or register@healthlink.net to organise.
